This course represents an introductory survey of international law and the institutions that provide support for the notion that the ?rule of law? is preferable to international violence. We will examine the basic principles of jurisprudence in the international arena and the historical events that gave life to such institutions as the UN, the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Applies to both the Political Science and Global & International Studies majors.
